Battery-Powered GSM Data Logger Systems
One of Infinite's strongest product groups is its battery-powered data logger systems with GSM communication. These devices are designed to collect sensor data, store measurements and periodically transmit them to a central system at locations where electrical infrastructure is unavailable.
The battery, communication module, inputs, data storage memory and sensor power supply circuitry are integrated into the device. A SIM card can be installed to transmit data over GSM/4G networks.
Instead of operating continuously, these devices use a low-power operating strategy. For example, a device can be configured to wake up every 30 minutes. When it wakes up, it powers the sensor, waits briefly for the sensor to stabilize, takes the measurement, stores the data and then returns to sleep mode. At the defined transmission interval, the stored data is sent to the central system.
This operating method extends battery life and helps the device operate in the field for long periods with minimal maintenance requirements.
Remote Field Measurement Devices with Sensor Power Supply
One of the most important features that distinguishes Infinite products from similar GSM data logger solutions is their ability to supply power to the connected measurement sensor.
In many remote field applications, simply having a battery-powered data logger is not enough. The connected sensor must also operate. For example, a pressure transmitter, level sensor, water quality probe or flow measurement device may require a specific supply voltage.
Infinite devices can power the sensor during the measurement process and switch off the sensor supply after the measurement is complete to reduce energy consumption. This allows measurements to be performed without installing an external power system in the field.

FTP, MQTT and Data Transmission Options

With FTP transmission, the device can periodically send recorded measurement data to the central system as a TXT file. This architecture can be useful for simple data acquisition, periodic reporting and projects where files are processed on the server side.
MQTT Client functionality is suitable for integration with IoT platforms, cloud systems and modern data acquisition software. MQTT provides an important option for projects where sensor data needs to be transferred regularly to centralized platforms.
OPC UA Server support is also included in Infinite's product roadmap. This is expected to enable more direct data exchange with SCADA and industrial automation systems in future product developments. SMS Alarms and Event Notifications
Alarm conditions can be defined according to measured values on Infinite devices. When the device wakes up at the configured measurement interval, it reads the sensor value and checks the defined alarm limits.
If the measured value meets an alarm condition, the device can send an SMS notification to predefined recipients. This functionality can be used in applications requiring fast notification of flood conditions, pressure drops, power failures, level alarms, water quality limits or other critical field events.
The SMS alarm feature allows remote field systems not only to collect data but also to support early response to critical field conditions.
ADS-270 with LoRaWAN Communication
In addition to models with GSM/NB-IoT/LTE-M communication, the Infinite product family also includes LoRaWAN communication options. The ADS-270 model can be considered for LoRaWAN-based wireless measurement applications.
Thanks to its low power consumption and long-range communication capabilities, LoRaWAN can be used particularly at sites with an existing LoRaWAN infrastructure or where a dedicated gateway can be installed.
For applications where GSM communication is not preferred or a private LoRaWAN network is required, models such as the ADS-270 provide an alternative solution.
