What Is a LoRaWAN Interface Converter?

Wireless interface converters that transfer data from existing meters, sensors and field devices using wired communication protocols to a LoRaWAN network. The akYtec IC200-MBUS-LW integrates M-Bus devices into LoRaWAN infrastructure, while the IC200-MRTU-LW connects Modbus RTU / RS-485 devices. Both models support connection of up to 10 devices, enabling existing field equipment to be monitored remotely and integrated into centralized systems without the need for new cabling.

Note: Battery life may vary depending on the LoRaWAN data transmission interval, connected field devices, communication activity and device configuration. LoRaWAN Class A mode can be used when operating on battery power, while Class C mode is available with an external DC power supply.

LoRaWAN Gateway

The RX LORAWAN gateway can be used to integrate LoRaWAN sensors, input modules or control devices into building management systems and to centrally monitor / control them via LoRaWAN. The gateway collects data from LoRaWAN nodes and transfers it to BMS or PLC systems via Modbus or BACnet.

Enless LoRaWAN products are decoded natively. Compatible third-party LoRaWAN devices can also be added to the system using JavaScript codecs and JSON mapping.
