Is the nSens-HT-EIS High-Accuracy Humidity Sensor Suitable for Humidity Measurement in Environments with High Humidity and Corrosive Gases?
The primary feature of the nSens-HT-EIS humidity sensor is its ability to provide one of the most accurate humidity measurements in the world. Another important advantage is its ability to operate reliably at high humidity levels where many other humidity probes cannot function properly or provide accurate measurements. If the humidity level in your process occasionally rises above 90% RH or does not remain at these levels for extended periods, this probe can measure such conditions reliably. However, if your humidity levels remain above 90% RH for long periods, we recommend a different humidity probe model specifically developed for high-humidity applications. This specialized probe can reliably measure humidity levels as high as 99.8% RH, where many standard humidity probes cannot operate properly.

Regarding resistance to chemicals, the sensing surface of the nSens-HT-EIS humidity sensor is protected with a special filter designed to provide resistance against chemical exposure. This makes it a particularly robust humidity sensor for demanding environments.
The humidity sensor is designed for long-term operation in air containing up to 1% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and ammonia (NH3).
At What Temperature Range Does the nSens-HT-EIS High-Accuracy Humidity Sensor Maintain Its Specified Accuracy?
The nSens-HT-EIS humidity sensor provides a humidity measurement accuracy of ±0.4% RH within a temperature range of +15 to +30 ºC.
The humidity and temperature sensor accuracy specifications at other temperature ranges are as follows:
Humidity Measurement:
| Between +15...+30 ºC | ±0.4% RH |
| Between 0...+15 ºC | ±0.8% RH |
| Between +30...+50 ºC | ±0.8% RH |
| Between -20...0 ºC | ±1.2% RH |
| Between +50...+80 ºC | ±1.2% RH |
Temperature Accuracy:
| Between 0...+65 ºC | ±0.1ºC |
| Between -20...0 ºC | ±0.2 ºC |
| Between +65...+80 ºC | ±0.2 ºC |
How Are Calibration Correction Values Entered for the Humidity Probe? Are They Entered Through the Humidity Transmitter?
The nSens-HT-EIS humidity probe features smart probe technology. Measurement, signal processing and digital output generation are all performed by the electronics integrated inside the probe. Therefore, all correction factors and calibration values are entered and stored directly in the humidity sensor itself. The output from the probe is always based on these stored calibration parameters. The transmitter simply reads the digital information from the humidity probe and converts it into a 4-20 mA signal or RS-485 Modbus communication. Calibration values are entered directly into the smart humidity sensor.
The humidity sensor can be connected to a computer using a USB connection cable accessory. The relevant settings and calibration parameters can then be configured through the PC software and stored directly in the humidity probe.
Up to 13 reference humidity points can be entered for calibration of the humidity probe. Multiple reference points can also be entered for temperature calibration.
What Are the Main Application Areas for the High-Accuracy Humidity Sensor?
The nSens-HT-EIS humidity probe is one of the world's most accurate humidity sensors, offering an accuracy of ±0.4% RH.
Typical users of this humidity probe include the pharmaceutical industry, calibration laboratories, test laboratories, quality control laboratories, the textile industry and semiconductor manufacturing facilities, where high-accuracy humidity measurement is critical.
