The device can be powered with a 12...30 VDC supply.
Since the humidity transmitter provides additional outputs besides the analog outputs, it does not use a 2-wire connection. The humidity sensor has active analog outputs and requires a separate power supply.

Can the RHT Climate Room Humidity Sensor Measure High Humidity Levels Such as 95% RH? Can It Be Used in High-Humidity Applications?
In general, humidity and temperature transmitter specifications may state a measurement range of 0-100% RH; however, most standard humidity sensors are not designed to operate reliably at humidity levels close to 100% RH. High-humidity environments require a specialized solution. What Settings Can Be Configured on the RHT Climate Room Humidity Sensor?
The RHT Climate humidity sensor can be configured from a computer using the free software, including the following settings:
- Configure the analog outputs as 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC
- Configure the analog output ranges for humidity and temperature
- Configure Modbus settings such as Device Address, Baud Rate, etc.
- Configure the humidity sensor alarm outputs and enter alarm setpoints
- Adjust display brightness and backlight settings on models with a display
- Select which parameters are shown on the display. For example, temperature can be displayed on the upper line and relative humidity or absolute humidity on the lower line.
- The humidity sensor measures relative humidity and temperature. It can also calculate parameters such as absolute humidity, dew point and frost point, and settings related to these calculated parameters can also be configured.
